The HD texture pack was disabled this time when testing Far Cry Primal and I lowered the visual quality to the normal preset. Doing so allowed the GTX 1050 to render 58fps on average, or 14% faster than the RX 560 – a disappointing result for AMD here despite offering playable performance.

Tom Clancy’s The Division was tested exclusively using the DirectX 12 API and this gave AMD the edge as the RX 560 averaged 57fps to the GTX 1050’s 51fps. That’s a respectable 12% performance advantage going the way of the red team.

Hitman was also tested using DX12 and here the RX 560 again matches the GTX 1050 for the average frame rate while providing a stronger minimum result. Both provided highly playable performance with an average of 80fps.

The GTX 1050 provided an average frame rate of 58fps in Quantum Break and this meant it was 16% faster than the RX 560. This time the medium quality preset was enabled at 1080p.
