As expected, the 850 Evo 2TB was able to max out the SATA 6Gb/s bus when measuring sequential read speed with a throughput of 528MB/s.
We see the 850 Evo 2TB finding the limits of the SATA 6Gb/s bus again when measuring sequential write performance.
The 850 Evo 500GB demonstrated strong random 512K read performance back when we first tested it and the 2TB model is able to build on that, reaching an impressive 470MB/s.
The random 512K write performance of the 850 Evo 2TB is similar to the 850 Pro and quite a bit faster than the 500GB model.
The random 4K read performance of the 850 Evo 2TB was roughly the same as the 500GB model, making it almost 20% slower than the 850 Pro.
The last CrystalDiskMark test we are looking at is the 4K write test and here the 850 Evo 2TB managed a throughput of 53MB/s, making it quite a bit faster than the 500GB model.
