Getting the 1TB SSD though is a very expensive upgrade so I’d probably stick to 512GB for most buyers. Thermal performance is an interesting one as the temperatures of the CPU and GPU vary depending on the workload split. For example, if the CPU is the only component being used, it reaches a peak of 85 degrees C. However if it’s being used alongside the GPU in a stress test, the CPU reaches 75C and the GPU 67C, and in gaming the CPU is a little cooler at around 72C....

According to the report, the average download speed in Denmark is 69.4 Mbps. That’s not the highest average BroadbandChoices found (that honor belongs to Liechtenstein), but it is close. For comparison, the US - which ranked number two overall - has an average download speed of just 27.4 Mbps. The disparity is even greater on the upload side, with Denmark boasting an average upload speed of 40.6 Mbps compared to just 9....

We found that DNF utilized four cores and will max out the fastest dual-core processor. EVGA’s RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin is now available, three months after the launch of Nvidia’s flagship Ti model GPU. This graphics card is the company’s highest-end SKU designed mainly for extreme overclocking, as evidenced by the onboard voltage monitoring headers and a BIOS switch with Normal, OC, and LN2 settings. The Kingpin has a hybrid cooling solution consisting of a 360mm AIO liquid cooler and an extra fan on the card itself to cool the monstrous 24-phase VRM....

Sources recently told the Wall Street Journal that the Saudi government is negotiating with electronics supplier Foxconn for a new $9 billion factory in its planned future city of Neom. The factory would be for semiconductors, displays, EV components, and surface-mount technology. The proposed site of Neom. Neom is a city-state Saudi Arabia plans to build on the coast of the Red Sea near Jordan and Egypt. The Saudi government announced its plans for Neom in 2017 as part of its “Vision 2030....

Here Gainward’s GeForce GT 240 roughly matches the performance of the GeForce 9800 GT and comes close to the Radeon HD 4770 when testing at 1680x1050. However, this margin starts to grow as soon as we crank up the resolution, with the GT 240 delivering just 22fps at 1920x1200 while the Radeon HD 4770 produces 30fps.

The Colossus emanates a certain menacing vibe and we can’t help but appreciate its unique style sense – more on that later. Although it’s based on the same chassis as the PC-K62 we reviewed almost two years ago, the PC-K63’s outer shell has been drastically overhauled – for the better if you ask us. We were keen to see how the 1660 Ti stacked up in a much wider range of games, so today we’re doing that. The performance summary and breakdown section includes the 12 games we already looked at along with the new 21 titles, and for 12 of those 21 titles we’ll analyze and comment the results more closely below. We completed all testing in the same test bed comprised of a Core i9-9900K clocked at 5 GHz with 32GB of DDR4-3200 memory....

Although the GTX 960 SLI cards were 20% slower than the R9 280Xs in Crossfire when testing Bioshock Infinite, Nvidia’s setup also used 29% less power so it’s slightly more efficient. When testing Metro: Last Light, the GTX 960 SLI cards consumed 30% less power than the dual R9 280Xs. Note that when benchmaking frame rate performance we used Metro Redux. When measuring system power consumption with Tomb Raider we find that the GTX 960 SLI configuration consumed 28% less power than the R9 280X Crossfire cards, which is all the more impressive considering the fact that the GTX 960s were 7% faster....

We recorded the total scores from PCmark7’s lightweight and productivity tests and the G1.Sniper2 landed only a notch ahead of the Extreme4, while the X58, 890FX and A75-based boards occupied the bottom of the chart. There was virtually no performance difference separating the G1.Sniper2 and Extreme4 in CINEBENCH R11.5, while the 890FX-packing Crosshair IV Extreme jumped ahead of the original G1.Sniper.

The R9 390X’s peak consumption in BioShock matched the GTX Titan X as well as the R9 290X. The vanilla R9 390 system consumed 290 watts, which was virtually the same result as the R9 290 and GTX 780 Ti. Then we have the R9 380 which consumed less than the R9 280X and R9 285 but more than the GTX 960. The power consumption margins in Metro Last Light are similar to what was seen in BioShock for the R9 390X and R9 390, as both matched the GPUs that they are replacing....

Thankfully, when I got home I did some research and learned that the headlines weren’t quite right. In fact, they weren’t true at all because the case that sparked the articles had nothing to do with Netflix. Zero. Nada. Conversely, Netflix says “the company views such [password] sharing as a positive and a way to attract new customers.” So why was Netflix dragged into this at all? A dissenting judge said in the ruling [PDF] that it might set precedent for sharing passwords to be possibly illegal in the future....

In the HTC 10 in particular there is 4 GB of LPDDR4 memory and either 32 or 64 GB of memory. Most models you’ll find on the market will be the 32 GB model as this device also packs a microSD card slot for cheap expandable storage. There’s also USB 3.1 support through the USB Type-C port for fast data transfer to this storage. Connectivity wise there are no surprises....

Starting with the Core i3-8100 we see that the faster DDR4-3200 memory boosts the average frame rate by 10% and that was enough to overtake the stock R5 1500X. Even with the DDR4-2400 memory the 8100 was still 8% faster than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Meanwhile the higher clocked 8350K does well, maxing out the Vega 64 Liquid Cooled graphics card at 1080p using the ultra quality settings. Next up we have Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation and this time the Ryzen 3 1300X gets dominated by the Core i3-8100....
