The Radeon HD 5750 rendered an average frame rate of 59fps, with a minimum of 40fps. Next we see that a pair of Radeon HD 5670 graphics cards operating in Crossfire that are only able to match the performance of a single Radeon HD 5770 graphics card. The minimum frame rate is quite lower though. The GeForce GTX 260 averaged 71fps, with a minimum of 47fps, which was very similar to the performance recorded by the Radeon HD 4870, both delivered playable performance at this resolution....

This week, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG) quietly announced a new Bluetooth capability that will be a boon for everyone from audiophiles to the average consumer that loves the convenience of wireless audio. The new technology is called Auracast and it builds on top of the existing Audio Sharing feature that is part of the LE Audio protocol. The latter only allows point-to-point communication and sharing audio with up to two headphones or speakers, but Auracast will allow Bluetooth devices to broadcast audio to any number of other devices that are in range....

Today, Broadcom announced plans to buy VMware in a cash-and-stock transaction valued at approximately $61 billion. The deal would also result in Broadcom assuming VMware’s $8 billion in debt. Broadcom is mainly known for designing and manufacturing a wide range of semiconductor products, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS chips used in many smartphones and routers. VMware is a cloud computing and virtualization technology company. The firm launched in 1998 and was acquired by EMC in 2004....

Bungie filed a lawsuit against a Destiny 2 player last week after repeated instances of cheating, threatening Bungie staff, and selling stolen in-game content. This lawsuit is an extreme case, but the company admits that similar behavior from other players has affected how it interacts with its fanbase. According to Bungie, Luca Leon publicly streamed himself using cheats in Destiny 2, eventually starting over a dozen accounts as Bungie banned each of them....

Tomaszkiewicz directed The Witcher 3 and served multiple roles during Cyberpunk’s development, including vice president of game development, secondary game director, and head of production. Tomaszkiewicz left CDPR under allegations that he bullied coworkers. He was later found not guilty but had already begun working at the Warsaw Film School. He will act as the new studio’s CEO and Game Director. Szamałek was the principal writer on CP 2077 and senior writer on most of The Witcher 3’s DLC....

A document seen by Reuters shows that Party Star was granted the ISBN license required by China for developers to publish games on the mainland. It is reportedly one of a batch of titles that have received the licenses. The National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) has distributed a list of approved games to developers, and it plans to publish the names on the agency’s website soon. Bloomberg reports that other games on the list include Watch Out For Candles by Shenzhen developer iDreamSky Technology Holdings Ltd....

The RTX 4070 Ti doesn’t launch until the first week of January, with most rumors pointing to January 5 as the exact release date. That’s only nine days away, which is why some overseas retailers are already listing, taking pre-orders for, and, in some cases, selling the cards. The new listings come from Chinese e-retailers, including Taobao and JD, and cover several AIB partner cards—Inno3D, MSI, Gigabyte, and Colorful—as well as the Founder’s Edition....

Although we were aware that the 600K was designed to be basic, we thought some software would be included to adjust things such as LED color and brightness. As it turns out, the orange LEDs are just that: orange. Meanwhile, the brightness can be controlled via the keyboard itself using a simple button. The 600K might not require any software but the 600M certainly does and this is the case with any gaming mouse....

Two RTX 3090 Ti cards from MSI have been spotted on the somewhat ironically named Swiss site Top Preise. The MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Gaming X Trio and the MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Suprim X are listed at CHF 3,595, the equivalent of around $3,932, and CHF 3,678 (~$4,022), respectively. In normal times, those numbers would be considered placeholder prices. But these are far from normal times. If they are accurate, it means these RTX 3090 Ti models will sell for 40% to 66% more than what their RTX 3090 equivalents sell for on the site, which is a big difference considering the former isn’t expected to offer a massive performance boost over the latter....

Diablo III doesn’t seem too CPU dependent, as we only saw 9% more performance when increasing the FX-8150’s clock 80% from 2.50GHz to 4.50GHz. The more efficient Core i7-3770K showed even less of a difference, gaining just 4% more performance (a measly 6fps) when going from 2.50GHz to 4.50GHz. There was only a 14% difference between the fastest and slowest CPU tested. That equates to 18fps, which might seem notable, but it’s irrelevant if you’re playing with a speedy card like the HD 7970....
