Parler’s parent company Parlement Technologies said in October that it had entered into an agreement in principle for the musician to acquire the “pioneering uncancelable free speech platform” for an undisclosed amount. The deal was expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022, but it has now been called off. “Parlement Technologies has confirmed that the company has mutually agreed with Ye to terminate the intent of sale of Parler,” the company said in a statement....

This comes after the consortium released the final PCIe 6.0 specification in January. While Capcom’s re-releases for PC and modern consoles can render the game in HD and 4K, the company has done relatively little to upgrade the original low-resolution textures....

The Gigabyte R9 280X WindForce 3X OC delivered the best core overclock reaching 1200MHz. However, the HIS R9 280X iPower IceQ X² Turbo was able to deliver the same performance with its 1195/1700MHz overclock. The weakest overclocker was the Asus R9 280X DirectCU II TOP with a core clock of 1160MHz, though its GDDR5 memory hit an amazing 1800MHz. The Sapphire Vapor-X Tri-X OC R9 280X was also weak when it came to custom overclocking performance with only 1165MHz on the core....

Regular leaker kopite7kimi posted a tweet about what he appropriately nicknamed “the beast.” The card is supposedly based on a new PG137-SKU0 board design, rather than the PG139 expected to be utilized by the RTX 4090, and could be the first to feature a triple-fan reference cooler from Nvidia. kopite7kimi believes the card will pack an AD102-450-A1 GPU featuring 142 streaming multiprocessors (SMs) on 18,176 CUDA cores. First up we have the 720p results and the standout here, the outlier if you will, is CS:GO where the 8700K was 52% faster. The 8700K shouldn’t be that much faster, it’s clocked just 19% higher and only have a very small IPC advantage, we’re talking a few percent at most. The Ryzen 5 2600 compared well to the lower clocked Core i5-8400 in CS:GO but the faster memory and higher clock speeds of the 8700K take this to the next level....

At the time, we felt for gaming the Core i7-8700K was probably a better choice as it was faster in almost every instance and it was roughly the same price. For those building a high-end gaming system, the non-X Ryzen was also compelling at $300, but if you were after maximum gaming performance, again the Intel CPU seemed like the way to go. That said, for more affordable gaming setups the Ryzen 5 2600 was a great value option and one that we frequently recommended....

Shortly after, towards the end of 2008 newer drives started to surface carrying a controller from Indilinx called “Barefoot”, most notable of which was the OCZ Vertex series. The Barefoot controller closed the performance gap on the Intel X25-M while reducing SSD prices at the same time. The Samsung SSD 850 Evo was 33% faster than the previous 840 Evo model with a throughput of 267MB/s. That said it was still 9% slower than the Crucial MX100 when copying a single large file. This time we only saw a 7% performance improvement when going from the old 840 Evo to the new 850 Evo. This meant that the 850 Evo was 12% slower than the Crucial MX100....

The sequential read performance above shows the Samsung T1 500GB reaching 417MB/s – not far from the claimed 450MB/s. The sequential write performance is lower and further off the 450MB/s target but a throughput of 385MB/s for a USB 3.0 device is still something to behold. With 367MB/s in the random 512K read performance, the T1 is at least 80% faster than the fastest thumb drive we’ve ever tested here....

Upon first run we found it odd that the graphics on Singularity looked very low-res. Something was definitely wrong and because we were able to test the game before its official U.S. release we suspected it could be related to a driver bug. Eventually we learned that there is a bug with texture loading that is present in the shipping version of the game. Singularity features very few loading screens throughout its ten-hour campaign as it takes advantage of Unreal’s streaming technology....

King Bob originally whipped up a partial version of the trailer earlier this month with a promise to do the entire thing if the clip received at least 10,000 likes. The basic version of Android 2.3 Gingerbread available on the Xperia PLAY for Verizon does not offer much in the way of advanced messaging features.
