At CES 2022, Samsung showed off its new 32-inch Odyssey Neo G8 gaming monitor, the world’s first screen combining a 4K resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate. It also features an impressive Mini LED backlight with 1,196 dimming zones and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, Adaptive-Sync support, and a 1000R curvature. The display is finally available for preorder starting today for $1,500, and it’ll begin shipping on June 6....
The Intel SSD 750 Series 1.2TB peaked at 2218MB/s in AS SSD Benchmark’s sequential read test, which was 16% faster than Samsung’s newcomer, though the SM951 was roughtly 4x faster than the SSD 850 Pro. The SM951 had its way with Intel’s SSD 750 Series when measuring sequential read performance, this time reaching 1.5GB/s for a 20% lead. This is another test where the lack of NVMe hurt the SM951 as it was limited to 686MB/s or roughly half as fast as the SSD 750 Series....
The Atto Disk Benchmark sequential read results show consistently better performance out of the SSD 850 Evo when compared to its predecessor. The Samsung SSD 850 Evo delivered similar results when measuring write performance, again it was constantly able to delivering noticeable performance gains over the 840 Evo.
Using CrystalDiskMark to measure sequential read performance we see that the Samsung SSD 960 Evo 500GB is 20% slower than the 960 Pro, that said it still pushed 2GB/s, which is an impressive result despite being slower than last year’s 950 Pro and it makes the 960 Evo almost 4x faster than the very best SATA SSDs. Despite the use of TLC memory, the sequential write performance is particularly impressive....
Unfortunately, the company hadn’t come up with a more sensible solution in time for the Raven RV05, which sticks its 3.5" drive cage directly under the power supply bracket causing huge compatibility problems that forced us to remove all 3.5" drive support so we could fit a 175mm long PSU. This will be a problem for anyone with a power supply that stretches 160mm or longer and that probably includes more models than you’d hope, though Silverstone itself offers some compatible solutions....
A couple years later, Silverstone delivered the updated Raven RV02 and then an enhanced version in 2011 known as the RV02-E or Raven 2 Evolution, which was appealing for a whole list of reasons. It offered loads of airflow with little noise, it held an enormous amount of hardware, it was relatively affordable and on the superficial side of things, it simply looked great. The most recent figures mark an eighteenfold increase over 2017 reported losses, but they are likely to be much higher as many people are too embarrassed or ashamed to report being scammed. It is worth noting that the Fusion Thunderbolt 3 could be even faster than we were able to make it go. Sonnet claims read speeds of up to 2.1 GB/s and write speeds of 1.55 GB/s. Since we maxed out at around 1.3 GB/s read and 1.2 GB/s write, we suspect the Razer laptop may have been the bottleneck leading to the limited performance. Though still a spectacular result for the Sonnet Fusion, it does bring the concern that not all Thunderbolt 3 hosts can be considered the same....
Interestingly, a Sony spokesperson told The New York Times last year that the company was not planning a God of War adaptation “anytime soon,” despite rumors circulated at the time. The three new shows make seven productions from PlayStation that have been confirmed. Sony released the Uncharted movie back in February to a less-than-warm reception. Last Thursday, Mick Miners and Jock Wallace, two sheep farmers in the town of Dalgety, reported finding the object. The text-to-image AI model is incredibly popular among users despite the fact that online art communities have started to reject AI-based images. Other than being a controversial example of machine-assisted visual expression, Stable Diffusion could have a future as a powerful image compression algorithm. Matthias Bühlmann, a self-described “software engineer, entrepreneur, inventor and philosopher” from Switzerland, recently explored the opportunity to employ the machine learning algorithm for a completely different kind of graphics data manipulation....

The electric vehicle giant said over the weekend that it had delivered 254,695 vehicles in the April to June period. While it marks a 26% increase over the 201,250 vehicles delivered in the second quarter of 2021, that figure for the preceding quarter (Q1 2022) stood at 310,048. At the start of the second quarter, Wall Street analysts had been expecting 350,000 deliveries from Tesla, though that number was revised after Elon Musk said it would be closer to Q1 levels and the impact of the Chinese shutdowns was taken into account....
