For the price, the obvious reference points included the Titan X, GTX 980 Ti and Radeon R9 Fury X. The hope was to see playable 60fps 4K performance in most titles, something neither the Fury X or Titan X can deliver. Although you can lower certain settings to boost performance and achieve the desired 60fps, like many, I have longed for a no-compromise type solution that didn’t require more than one card and spending well over four figures....

Given that the Titan X is clocked ~12% lower than the GTX 980 at stock, we were hoping for around a 40% performance bump and thankfully that’s close to reality as the Titan X was 37% faster than the GTX 980 at 2560x1600 and 36% faster at 4K UHD. The Titan X was also 47% faster than the R9 290X on average at 2560x1600 while it was just 36% faster at 3840x2160....

Coming away from that review two things were clear: many of you wanted an update between the 5700 XT and the more expensive RTX 2070 Super, as well as the inclusion of DLSS results for the games that support the much improved DLSS 2.0. OCZ claims a maximum read throughput of 480MB/s with the Arc 100 and we hit 460MB/s when working with 32K data. However, when moving to larger 128K test samples, performance slipped to 368MB/s. The write results were similar to those seen when measuring read performance and while we hit 446MB/s (better than the advertised 430MB/s) in the 32K test, that dropped to just 346MB/s in the 128K test.

Testing the GTX 780 Super JetStream in Battlefield 3 reveals that it is in fact able to match and even beat the GTX Titan. At 2560x1600, it was 5% faster at 71.2fps, which also made it 10% faster than a standard GTX 780. The frame time performance of the GTX 780 Super JetStream also put it slightly ahead of the Titan in Battlefield 3, taking just 16.5ms between frames at 2560x1600....

The Halo TV series has been a long time in the making. Using AS SSD Benchmark to measure sequential read performance shows again that SSD 850 Pro is able to max out the SATA 6Gb/s bus with 500MB/s. We also find once again that RAPID mode is inflating performance well beyond what we found in the read-world tests. That said, the 2.9GB/s throughput isn’t quite as inflated as the 7GB/s+ we saw when testing with CrystalDiskMark. The sequential write performance is also very strong with 487MB/s, while RAPID blew that result up to 3....

It’s likely that the company was hoping that a reduction in display resolution and increases in SoC efficiency would offset the smaller battery. However, as you’ll see from the benchmarks below, this isn’t the case. In our video benchmark, the Galaxy Alpha lasts significantly less time than both models of the Galaxy S5. Compared to the most similar Galaxy S5 variant, the Exynos model, the Alpha performed 22% worse; this balloons out to 31% compared to the Snapdragon model....

Samsung grabbed gamers’ attention earlier this week when it revealed the 32-inch Odyssey Neo G8, the world’s first monitor to combine a 4K resolution with a blistering 240Hz refresh rate.
