Moreover, while Unreal Engine 3 has been updated to support newer rendering technologies, this title uses an earlier build. Nvidia’s cards just seem to offer a better value in this game, with the $230 GTX 560 Ti matching the $400 HD 7950 at 1920x1200....
The unprecedented demand for components means that chip manufacturers have their orders full and are struggling to meet demand. As a result, TSMC’s revenue was up 24.1% to $15.74 billion in Q4 2021, while net profit jumped to T$166.2 billion ($6.01 billion) from T$142.8 billion a year earlier, beating analysts’ expectations. Musk, who recently fired an engineer for arguing with him publicly, continued to endear himself to Twitter’s remaining staff on Wednesday when he gave them an ultimatum: say yes to the new, extremely hardcore “Twitter 2.0,” with its 40-hour-minimum weeks—they could average 60 hours or more—and intense workloads, or leave the company with three months of severance. Employees were given until 5 pm the next day (Thursday) to decide. Reports say hundreds of Twitter employees said “thanks, but no thanks” to Musk’s generous offer of working twice as hard, much longer, and with a drastically reduced number of co-workers....

Ubisoft published its quarterly report on Thursday and its executives held an earnings call with analysts and shareholders afterward. Subtitles in the 10-page report like “Ubisoft’s assets have never been so strong at a time when the value of assets has never been so high” and “The richest pipeline of games in Ubisoft’s history” made it read like a sales brochure, prompting questions about the company’s intentions. “In a consolidating industry I guess I’m wondering why you guys haven’t had an offer given the embedded value of your IP,” analyst Matthew Walker asked....
Ubisoft has announced that it plans to decommission the online services for 15 games on September 1. Users won’t be able to play the multiplayer and co-op modes in these games anymore, linking accounts and online features will stop working, and worst of all, players will outright lose access to DLC they bought. Running the game maxed out makes the PC platform feel quite special, which is something few games achieve anymore. Despite that vivid detail, Watch Dogs is playable on ultra at full HD using relatively affordable hardware with the R9 280X and GTX 770 delivering solid performance. While these $300 GPUs aren’t exactly cheap, we’re surprised the game doesn’t call for a GTX 780 or R9 290 considering how good it looks....

Today, the chip can be purchased for nearly half the price it originally fetched and we managed to find one online for around $200, which seems to be about the going price. By default, the 5820K works at a base frequency of 3.3GHz but depending on the workload it can boost up to 3.6GHz (a mild increase, admittedly) and it also packs 15MB of L3 cache alongside 1.5MB of L2 cache, which was a significant increase over the mainstream Core i7 range back in 2014....
Something you may notice about the design of the Gigabyte P55-UD6 is that it looks much like any other motherboard, and by that we mean any other motherboard that features the traditional north and south bridge chips. Rather than placing the P55 chip in the lower right corner of the board like virtually every other P55 motherboard, Gigabyte has given it a more central location, exactly where you would expect to find the north bridge....

There’s a lot of filler in the category but if you’re willing to wade through the sea of games, you’re sure to find some solid deals. Metroid Dread is a good game for the Switch that’s only been available for about four months, and Dying Light 2 Stay Human is less than four days old. Pokemon Legends: Arceus is also part of the promotion, as is Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5 and Death Stranding Director’s Cut....
The AMD A10-6800K scored 11957pts in 3DMark, making it 2% faster than the FX-4350 and 9% faster than the A10-5800K. Moreover it was 51% faster than the Pentium G2020 but 17% slower than the Core i5-3450. The A4-4000 on the other hand scored just 4972pts, making it 7% slower than the A4-5300 and 31% slower than the Intel Celeron G1610. When testing with 3DMark 06, the AMD A10-6800K was 4% slower than the FX-4350, but 9% faster than the A10-5800K and 10% faster than the Pentium G2020....
With a bandwidth of just 15.76GB/s, the A10-7850K has considerably less bandwidth to work with than say the Core i3-4130, but it’s virtually identical to what we saw from the A8-7600 and the A10-6800K before that. The A10-7850K’s cache bandwidth is slightly faster than the A8-7600, largely due to the increase in clock speed, though it’s still at a disadvantage compared to the Core i3-4130.
The A75 is particularly appealing as it supports four USB 3.0 ports and six SATA 6Gb/s ports. By comparison, Intel’s H67/P67/Z68 chipsets only support two SATA 6Gb/s ports and no USB 3.0 ports.
The Radeon HD 6970 performed quite well on Crysis Warhead, basically matching the GeForce GTX 570 at 1920x1200 where it averaged 51fps. This made the Radeon HD 6970 about 11% faster than its previous generation counterpart. World in Conflict Soviet Assault World in Conflict has a solid built-in benchmark tool, so we relied on that for testing this game. We used the “very high” quality settings with 4xAA/16xAF. Testing at 1920x1200 with World in Conflict the Radeon HD 6970 averaged 67fps matching the performance of the GeForce GTX 570....
The Radeon HD 6970 averaged 77fps at 1920x1200 when testing with Dirt 2 making it just 10% faster than the Radeon HD 5870. More importantly the Radeon HD 6970 was 21% slower than its primary competitor, the GeForce GTX 570. Other more expensive cards also pulled away, the Radeon HD 5970 was 23% faster than the Radeon HD 6970 and so was the GeForce GTX 580 with a 33% advantage....
