First reported by the Los Angeles Times, Reeves’ catalog of movies, including the John Wick and Matrix franchises, has been removed from Chinese streaming platforms following his participation earlier this month in a benefit concert for Tibet House, a non-profit affiliated with the Dalai Lama. Social media users had called for a boycott of Reeves after news of his support for the concert was reported in January, but The Matrix: Resurrections remained in the country’s theaters and the March 3 date passed without any apparent action being taken against him....

It was no surprise that the Athlon II X4 630 dominates this test. This processor was around 25% faster than the Athlon II X3 435, which itself was more than twice as fast as the Athlon II X2 250 in spite of having just one extra core and a 3.5% frequency advantage. The Phenom II X2 555 was 1fps faster than Intel’s best performer in this test, the Pentium G6950....

Cyberpunk 2077 will be updated with support for AMD GPUs at some point in the future, but for now you will need an Nvidia RTX GPU for running ray tracing, and today we’ll be looking at performance across all main consumer RTX GPUs in a variety of ray traced settings. By now, most of you are likely aware how visually stunning Cyberpunk 2077 is. This is certainly one, if not the most graphically impressive game we’ve ever seen, and it does look especially good with ray tracing enabled....

Dell has announced a refresh of its popular XPS 13 ultrabook lineup. The Dell XPS 13 (9315) keeps the 13.4-inch display choices of its predecessor, as you can choose between a resolution of 3840 x 2400 (touch-enabled) or 1920 x 1200 (with or without a touchscreen). It comes equipped with Intel’s 12th-gen Alder Lake-U processors, with options for either an i5-1230U or i7-1250U and up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM....

An upgrade to Intel’s Skylake CPUs headlines the list of changes made to the XPS 13 for the late 2015 model. The Core i7-6500U included with my review unit was around 5-10 percent faster on the CPU side than an equivalent last-gen Broadwell part, with performance gains of around 20% on the GPU side. These improvements aren’t huge, but fall in line with Intel’s typical generational jumps. If you’re thinking of upgrading from a Broadwell-based Core i5 system to a Skylake-based Core i7 system, there is enough of a performance gain (around 20-25%) to perhaps warrant an upgrade....

Using hardware available in early 2019, we found that the desktop RTX 2070 was on average 19% faster than the RTX 2070 mobile chip at 1080p. This difference expanded to a whopping 42% difference when comparing the desktop RTX 2070 to Nvidia’s low power RTX 2070 Max-Q variant. Since then, we’ve seen refreshes to laptop and desktop hardware. On the graphics side, Nvidia has released the RTX Super series for desktops and more recently laptops....

F1 2016 is a surprisingly good game for testing CPU performance. When paired with the GTX 1060, on average the 7700K is 15% faster while that is reduced to 9% after installing the RX 480. However, before getting too excited, the RX 480 is limiting the 7700K here and affording the 1800X the ability to catch up, so this isn’t evidence of Ryzen performing better with an AMD GPU....

For budget AM4 builders there’s always been a choice between two chipsets: the locked-down A320 with no overclocking support or the B350 that gives users the freedom to send their Ryzen processors rocketing towards 4GHz. Now, I’ve always recommended that you shy away from A320 models as they’re only $10 to $20 cheaper, but if you never intend to overclock the motherboard, and its resale value isn’t something you care about – or the lack of flexible memory upgrades – then buying a $50 A320 board might make sense....

The Wall Street Journal, citing unidentified sources, reported that Musk had an affair with Brin’s wife last fall. The incident allegedly occurred in Miami at the Art Basel event in late December, soon after Musk’s breakup with then-girlfriend Claire Boucher, better known by her stage name, Grimes. The sources claim Brin and Shanahan were separated at the time of the affair but still living together, the result of marital problems caused by the Covid-19 lockdowns and issues related to their three-year-old daughter....

This tablet is packed with features, and most of them are things people often request Microsoft to add to the Surface Pro line. The big addition is Thunderbolt 3 instead of Mini DisplayPort, which allows connectivity to devices like external GPUs, while also providing fast USB connectivity and display outputs. I also really appreciate the inclusion of a second USB-A port; one on the Surface Pro is too little, but two is great, especially when you consider there’s also two USB-C ports....

In other words, on a GeForce GTX 1080-powered laptop you can expect 1080-like desktop performance, or thereabouts. To put those claims to the test we received a prototype of Asus’ ROG GX800. Those of you familiar with the previous-gen ROG GX700 will know it’s an over the top liquid cooled laptop. Well, brace yourself because the GX800 is even more extreme. The G-Sync panel on the new model is larger, the Core i7 processor is clocked higher, there are now three SSDs of the NVMe variety, the keyboard is mechanical and not just the GPU is liquid cooled but also the CPU....

It was a mixed bag of first-quarter earnings results for Meta. Facebook DAUs, which had fallen from 1.93 billion to 1.92 billion in Q4 2021, were up to 1.96 billion in Q1 2022, beating Wall Street estimates of 1.95 billion. But the company’s total quarterly revenue of $27.91 billion missed analysts’ estimates of $28.20 billion, a 7% year-over-year growth that marks the smallest since Facebook went public a decade ago and 21% lower than a year earlier....

What’s New FIFA’s crown jewel has long been the fact it holds the rights to the English Premier League, the world’s biggest and most popular annual football license. But FIFA 15 is the first year EA has actually doubled down on that property, and it’s fantastic. All 20 Premier League teams have their own stadiums in the game, there are custom match intros and more expansive commentary. It’s taken years but, so long as you’re playing an EPL game, FIFA 15 can finally meet the matchday presentation of American sports games....

Moving to 1440p, you can forget about any sub-$150 offerings, in fact even the RX 470 struggles here using the extreme preset. The 3GB GTX 1060 takes a bit of a hit on the minimum frame rate and while not catastrophic it does fall clearly behind the 4GB RX 480. For a smoother experience, the GTX 1070 delivers and if you must stay above 60fps at all times then a GTX 1080 will be in ordered....

As part of his reelection campaign, President Emmanuel Macron pledged to make electric vehicles more affordable to low-income households. The French government already offers subsidies on the purchase of EVs (up to 6,000 euros for an EV priced under 47,000 euros) but some contend they are still out of reach of many prospective buyers. Bloomberg said the government is working to see how quickly it can roll out the program and determining how many EVs will be available to lease....

When playing Crysis 2, the GTX 670 consumed slightly less power than the GTX 680 and only a tad more than the HD 7950, while its idle performance was about equal to both cards. As you’d expect, the GTX 670 doesn’t run very hot, especially with the Gainward Phantom cooler. Temperatures never exceeded 71 degrees, which isn’t as cool as Gigabyte’s HD 7950, but it’s still remarkable for a high-end graphics card....
