Marking the second title in the planned trilogy, Crysis 2 will make its way to consoles and is the first game to use the new CryEngine 3 development engine. The game is supposed to take place four years after Crysis, when aliens invade New York City. It will feature a redesigned Nanosuit, and there is talk of a revamped jungle. Apart from that, details are scant – but if Crysis 2 is anything like its predecessor, you should start saving for a new GPU now....

Like with the Galaxy S7 camera, the Moto G5 Plus focuses extremely quickly, as every pixel in the sensor is accompanied by a phase detection unit. It’s not quite as fast as the Galaxy S7, likely due to processing and optimization limitations, however the Moto G5 Plus reacts very quickly whenever you place an object in front of the lens. It’s ready to take a shot almost instantly, with low shutter lag....

At idle the MSI Cubi 2 Plus is extremely efficient and although it does consume quite a bit more power than the ultra-compact Asrock Beebox and ECS LivaX, it uses far less than the desktop Core i3 and Pentium processors paired with a standard ATX power supply. Placing the CPU under full load using Prime95 we see that the Cubi 2 Plus remains very efficient, particularly compared to more traditional desktop systems....

We reviewed the GTX 1070 Max-Q variant though a cheaper version with the GTX 1060 is available for around $1,800. That puts it at the same price as last year’s i7-7700HQ model with the same GPU, so there’s some welcomed consistency there. When considering everything this laptop provides, I really like what MSI has brought to the table. This is clearly their best gaming laptop so far, bringing a superior design, smaller footprint and improved performance compared to the GS63....

As someone who’s generally not a fan of most pre-built gaming computers, I do actually like most of what the Infinite X does. It come pre-assembled and tested with all the parts a gamer would need, but at the same time retains the upgradability we’ve come to expect. The Infinite X is currently available in five configurations ranging from a GTX 1070 up to a GTX 1080 Ti. The top three models come with an Intel i7-8700K CPU and 16GB of RAM while the bottom two have the non “K” variant of the CPU....

Under load the MSI X58 Pro-E consumes ~30 watts less than the Asus P6T Deluxe, which is very good though it is considerably lighter on features as well. When at idle the board used roughly 10 watts less than the P6T Deluxe. Overclocking the Core i7 processor to 4GHz threw operating efficiency out the window as you can imagine. Under load the overclocked system consumed an incredible 375 watts.

In 2020, NASA contracted Astrobotic of Pittsburgh to build and deliver a rover to the Moon by late 2023. The rover will be tasked with searching the lunar surface for ice and other potential resources, and will return data to help scientists learn more about the origin and distribution of water on the nearby satellite. The original contract was valued at $199.5 million, but with this most recent extension and others, it now totals $320....

It is the largest and brightest star-form region in the Local Group, a collection of “nearby” galaxies that also includes the Milky Way. Astronomers pointed three of Webb’s cutting-edge instruments at the Tarantula Nebula. Webb’s Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam) highlights tens of thousands of never-before-seen young stars that had been previously hidden by cosmic dust. Massive young stars at the center of the nebula have carved out a hollow region thanks to their blistering radiation....

Orion launched from the Kennedy Space Center on November 16 as part of Artemis I, the first spaceflight of NASA’s Artemis program. The roughly 25-day mission was expected to start sooner but was met by multiple launch delays. Artemis I is designed to test the Orion craft and Space Launch System ahead of future Artemis missions. NASA said it reacquired contact with Orion at 7:59 a.m. Eastern on November 21 after it performed an outbound powered flyby burn about 15 minutes earlier....

In October, Intel released the second and third entries into the “A-series” of its Arc line of graphics cards, the A750 and the A770. Our review of both products showed they had promise, but they could only reach their potential if Intel put in the effort and care to make the much-needed improvements. The largest of which was its DirectX 9 (DX9) performance. Shortly before launch, Intel announced that Arc would not feature native DX9 support and would instead emulate the API....

It seems that we are in a time where the three big home-gaming manufacturers are in a contest to see who can buy up more third-party studios. This time it is Nintendo’s turn as it is buying long-time development partner Systems Research & Development, better known as SRD (also referred to as Nintendo R&D4), for an undisclosed amount. The studio is responsible for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, two of the Nintendo Switch’s greatest hits....

The Snapdragon 800 consists of a 2.26 GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU, Adreno 330 GPU clocked at 450 MHz, a Hexagon QDSP6V5A DSP at 600 MHz, a dual-channel LPDDR3 controller capable of providing 12.8 GB/s of throughput, Category 4 LTE, up to Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, IZAT Gen8B GPS and dual image signal processors. As you can see, it provides the majority of the Lumia 1520’s backbone on the one die, especially when considering the package-on-package 2 GB of RAM that’s included....

The IPS LCD display on the Lumia 920 was pretty decent, with this AMOLED being largely the same. However there are some differences and tradeoffs associated with switching to OLED-based technology, one of which is the necessity to use a PenTile subpixel matrix at this display density. The PenTile RGBG arrangement reduces the subpixel resolution but not the technical resolution of the display, resulting in sometimes grainy and less sharp images than a panel that uses the usual RGB stripe arrangement....

Today’s article is going to cover everything. We’ll be looking at the latest titles to use DLSS, focusing primarily on Control and Wolfenstein: Youngblood, to see how Nvidia’s DLSS 2.0 (as we’re calling it) stacks up. This will include our usual suite of visual comparisons looking at DLSS compared to native image quality, resolution scaling, and various other post processing techniques. Then, of course, there will be a look at performance across all of Nvidia’s RTX GPUs....

The conclusion we came to was that RIS is superior to DLSS in terms of image quality and very effective at post processing say, a game rendered at 1800p to look very close to its native 4K presentation. With a negligible performance impact on Navi GPUs, it makes for a pretty compelling feature. But we didn’t cover every angle possible in that article. Namely, Radeon Image Sharpening is not the only way to post process sharpen a game....

Rise of the Tomb Raider blew us away with amazing visuals over a year ago now but even today the game is still one of the more impressive looking titles. Although we don’t test a terribly demanding section of the game the 1080 Ti still looks mighty impressive in relation to the GTX 1070 for example. Moving to 1440p we see that it’s 23% faster than the GTX 1080 and incredibly 55% faster than the GTX 1070 which roughly matches last season’s Maxwell based Titan X....

Although we expected the GeForce GTX 480 to do quite well in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, with just 59fps on average it was actually 13% slower than the Radeon HD 5870. This meant that the card was just 5% faster than the much cheaper Radeon HD 5850 and 14% faster than the old GeForce GTX 285.

Still, for most 120GB is enough to install an operating system and an extensive set of essential programs/games. The OCZ Summit, like most solid state and traditional hard drives, looks rather bland, however it will likely be hidden away anyway. The drive features the typical SATA data and power connectors. On a side note it is worth mentioning that there is no integrated High-Speed USB 2.0 Mini-B connector featured on this drive....

In short, the game looks excellent and seems to be surpassing the expectations of many (understandably) skeptical gamers on social media. The game will be a third-person RPG in which you create your own Hogwarts student from scratch, who will enter the school for the first time as a fifth-year (in the House of your choice). What’s especially surprising about this title is the sheer variety of gameplay opportunities the developers have included....

Come April 26, Overwatch fans will finally be able to take the game’s sequel for a spin. That’s great news, too: after years of development (Overwatch 2 was first announced in 2019) and ongoing turmoil at Activision Blizzard HQ, the title’s future seemed to be in limbo for a time. However, it looks like development has forged ahead despite Blizzard’s troubles. Overwatch 2 doesn’t have a full release date yet, but you can sign up for the first-ever closed beta today and cross your fingers that you’ll be one of the lucky few selected....
