The HD Tune Pro random write test provided an interesting result when measuring the 512 bytes performance. Here the OCZ Vertex 2 Pro was 31% slower than the G.Skill Falcon II, while it was 3.8x faster than the original Vertex. Still the 4KB test saw the Vertex 2 Pro take charge once again as it beat the Falcon II by a 43% margin while it was almost 5 times faster than the Vertex. The 1MB test saw the Vertex 2 Pro race further ahead of the Falcon II and lead the original Vertex by a 52% performance margin.
