Although the Samsung SM951 SSD inside the MSI Cubi 2 managed to break the 1000MB/s barrier for sequential read and write performance, it’s still a good bit slower than what we have seen in the past from systems using higher tier chipsets, as you are about to see.
While the SM951 is up to 45% faster on the Z170 platform, it’s still plenty fast in the Cubi 2 Plus and users certainly won’t notice the difference between a sequential write speed of 1.1GB/s and 1.5GB/s.
The Cinebench scores place the Core i3-6100T just ahead of the 4130 in both the single and multi-threaded tests, making the MSI Cubi 2 Plus considerably faster than ultra-small form factor PCs such as the Asrock Beebox.
Interestingly, the HD Graphics 4400 of the Core i3-4130 performs better than the 6100T’s HD Graphics 530 in the 3DMark Cloud Gate test with a score of 6401pts opposed to just 5198pts for the Cubi 2 Plus.
The Cubi 2 Plus also trailed the Haswell Core i3-4130 in the 3DMark 06 test with a score of just 9298pts, though it was still considerably faster than devices such as the Beebox and LivaX.
Finally we have PCMark 7 and here the MSI Cubi 2 Plus performed exceptionally well delivering a score of 5737pts, which was 45% greater than the score produced by the i3-4130.
