The 2015 Moto G was an underperformer in our GPU benchmarks, recording performance around 10% lower than the 2014 Moto G across the board. This could be down to testing variance or a small reduction in GPU clock speeds due to match an increase in CPU clock speeds. In most games, the Moto G 2015 will perform just as well as its older brother.

One area Motorola has improved significantly is in NAND speeds, where the Moto G 2015’s performance at least doubles its predecessor. Write performance is especially good, increasing significantly.
