All the LGA1150 processors we tested delivered between 26-27GB/s of memory bandwidth using DDR3-2400 memory. The overclocked Intel Pentium G3258 was slightly faster hitting 28.5GB/s.
Although the Pentium G3258 has memory bandwidth that matches the more expensive Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, it is a different story when we look at cache performance. Even once overclocked to 4.4GHz the Pentium G3258 can’t meet even the Core i3-4130’s L1 cache performance, though it was faster when testing L2 cache. The Core i5-4670K, however, was worlds faster when looking at both L1 and L2 cache results.
