The i7-6700K was actually slightly slower than the 4790K when comparing multi-threaded scores in Cinebench R15. That said, it did manage to just outscore the 4790K when comparing the single-thread score.

Disappointingly, the i7-6700K was 1% slower than the 4790K in PCMark 7 and this makes us wonder how it could be up to 10% faster in the following tests.

Again we see that the Core i7-6700K is actually slower than the 4790K, this time when testing with 3D Particle Movement. The 6700K was a fraction slower when comparing multi and single-threaded performance.
