The 2560x1600 resolution is obviously only recommended for those with high-end graphics cards. The old GeForce GTX 285, which is still considered to be a powerful graphics card, averaged 58fps with a minimum of 40fps. The GeForce GTX 275 and Radeon HD 4890 both dipped below 40fps for the minimum recorded frame rate, while they averaged 55fps. Once the minimum frame rates dip down to 30fps you will start to notice lag spikes and for that reason we do not recommend gaming with the Radeon HD 4870 or slower at 2560x1600 using the high quality preset.
