Meanwhile the Radeon HD 6950 delivered roughly the same performance as the older Radeon HD 5870 and GeForce GTX 480. With all three graphics cards easily cracking 60fps, they provided highly playable performance. Even the relatively affordable GeForce GTX 560 Ti cracked the 60fps barrier, while the Radeon HD 6870 churned out exactly that mark. The more budget oriented GeForce GTX 460 and Radeon HD 6850 were able to deliver playable performance with 49fps each. For interest sake, and because I had one lying around, I tried an old Radeon HD 4890 out. Sadly those rocking an old Radeon HD 4xxx series graphics card are out of luck, as the 4890 managed just 24fps using the high quality settings. Unfortunately, I was unable to include the GeForce GTX 285 for comparison as my card appears to have kicked the bucket.
