Using our custom WinRAR test we measured the time it takes to compress a single large file and then a program made up of numerous smaller files. The 400MB program test saw the Asrock P55 Extreme4 and Asus P7P55D Deluxe motherboards complete the test in 39 seconds. However, the longer and larger 700MB audio/video file saw the Asrock P55 Extreme4 lag behind the Asus P7P55D Deluxe by 4 seconds. For our last application test we used Adobe Photoshop CS5. As you can see the Asrock P55 Extreme4 matched the performance of the Asus P7P55D Deluxe in our custom test, which applies the radial blur filter to an 88MP image.
