Throughout the benchmarking phase we have seen the Beebox-S just trail the Cubi 2 Plus, so it is only fitting that it does the same in the power consumption results. Here the Beebox-S consumed 1 watt less at idle making it one of the most efficient mini PCs tested to date.
Under full load we saw an entire system draw from the wall of just 32 watts, 5 watts less than the MSI Cubi 2 Plus and well under half that of the Intel NUC6i7KYK.
With Prime95 and FurMark running, the Beebox-S sustained maximum CPU and GPU utilization for a total system consumption of 49 watts. That means that it actually consumed slightly more power than the MSI Cubi 2 Plus but much less than the Asrock DeskMini which featured a true quad-core processor.
