The Division is one of the most demanding games we test with and here we see the RX 480 falling just short of the 60fps target at 1080p. Nevertheless, this does put it on par with the R9 390X and GTX 980, which is a tremendous result for AMD. The RX 480 was also 9% faster than the GTX 970 and 12% faster than the R9 390.

At 1440p the average frame rate drops to 41fps, which is more comparable with the R9 390 than the R9 390X. Still the RX 480 was 17% faster than the GTX 970 and 71% faster than the GTX 960.

Finishing up we have Doom and here the RX 480 was good for 98fps on average, placing it between the R9 390X and R9 390 while being 9% faster than the GTX 970 and 34% faster than the GTX 960.

Even at 1440p the average frame rate of the RX 480 stays above 60fps and here it matches the GTX 970 while beating the R9 390 by an 8% margin. Impressively, R9 380 owners can expect just over 60% more performance in Doom when upgrading to the RX 480.
