The PCMark 7 video playback test measures to see if each CPU can handle streaming 1080p content – all of our test configurations managed fine.
MPlayer measures the maximum amount of frames each CPU can deliver when playing 1080p content. With the monitor’s refresh rate set to 60Hz, 60fps was the maximum frame rate achieved and only the Core i3-4130 managed to reach it. The A10-7800 produced 49.2fps, a fraction faster than the 48.5fps the A8-7600 delivered.
None of the CPUs had any trouble with 720p content, with almost all maxing out at 60fps.
